Safe Haven - Fall 2021 (Revit)

For this project, we were to design a house for two occupants, one of which was to have a medical or physical condition that would need to be considered and incorporated into the design with research-based analysis to support it.

• 2 Bedrooms

• 2 Full Bathrooms (1 with two vanities)

• Living Room

• Dining Area

• Kitchen

• Laundry Space

My Take Away

Spaces, especially homes can be very personal in what they require in terms of needs, and when designing for two separate occupants with separate needs, you want to be mindful of how those two will not only be using the space but experiencing it, separately and as a whole.

This project was extremely interesting and informative. Through my research process, I was shown various ways design theories, such as prospect and refuge can help support anxiety conditions both physically and mentally.
